Heat Press Warranty

Coverage Period:

This limited, non-transferable warranty covers machines, products, and accessories sold in the USA by Ricoma International. Ricoma guarantees that covered products will be free of defects in materials or workmanship during the applicable warranty period stated below. At its option, Ricoma will repair or replace any product found defective during the warranty period. Warranty work must be performed or authorized by a Ricoma Authorized Representative.

  • If depot repair warranty work is required within the first 90 days after receipt of the product, Ricoma will cover all costs related to the depot repair, including parts, labor, and shipping.
  • After the initial 90 days, this warranty covers parts and labor only; shipping expenses are not included.
  • The customer is responsible for basic troubleshooting with a Ricoma technician.
  • For any damages, Ricoma must be notified within 3 days of receiving equipment. Failure to notify Ricoma within this period may result in customer liability for damages.

Warranty Coverage
  • Parts: Covered for 1 year.
  • Depot Repair Labor: Covered for 1 year.
  • Exceptions: Consumables are not covered.

Responsibilities of the Customer:
  • Any damaged or defective parts under warranty must be returned to Ricoma within 30 days to receive credit.
  • The customer is responsible for basic troubleshooting before an RMA for parts can be issued.
  • The customer must set thread tension and adjust the magnet position as needed.
  • The customer is responsible for all shipping costs of parts after the initial 90-day period.
  • Any modifications made by the buyer without prior written approval from Ricoma will void this warranty.
  • For any depot repair performed, the claim period for experiencing the same technical problem(s) is 7 days after delivery.
  • The 1-Year Limited Warranty applies only to new and demo Ricoma & iKonix Heat Presses purchased in the United States and is non-transferable.

Non-Covered Items:

Ricoma is NOT responsible for:

  • Acts of God
  • Any product that has been used, altered or modified in ways not approved by a Ricoma representative
  • Parts, supplies or accessories not supplied by Ricoma
  • Purchaser acknowledges and agrees that Revel Direct-to-Film branded Inks are for to be used only and that the Purchaser is responsible for any resulting damage to the machine caused by non- Revel Direct-to-Film branded inks.
  • Damage caused by non-compliance with the maintenance provisions of instruction manual, which include, but not limited to Daily Nozzle Checks, Daily White Ink Agitation, keeping adequate ink in the machine, so it can perform Auto maintenance cycles,  powering machine down with ink loaded in lines or carriage unit and Printhead not wetcapped.
  • Damage/defects caused by failure to attend corresponding training, improper installation, bad art files, improper ripped files or other user misuse
  • Depreciation or damage to equipment, property or garments, caused by normal wear and tear, lack of proper maintenance, or failure to follow safe operating and maintenance instructions
  • External factors such as environment, maintenance neglect, or electrical supply problems or not having machine plugged in to Surge Suppression Equipment
  • Computer and networking hardware not supplied by Ricoma, which includes, computers, wifi networks, software and configuration of the previously mentioned
  • Any shipping besides ground shipping
  • General product maintenance and preventative maintenance
  • Loss of wages, garments, or loss of profit, employee pay or any type of compensation for machine downtime
  • Additional onsite operator training
  • Products or parts not paid for or returned to Ricoma within the specified period, that have been sent under Ricoma's Warranty
  • Tampering with or modification of the machine without prior approval
  • Consumables (e.g., film, ink, filters, dampers, ink stack, data cables, pumps, etc.)

RMA Policy
  • For parts replacement under warranty, Ricoma will issue a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number. Once an RMA is determined necessary by a Ricoma Authorized Representative, please use one of the following options:
  • Pre-Charge Option: The customer will be pre-charged $200.00 plus shipping for the RMA product(s). Upon Ricoma’s receipt of the defective product(s), the $200.00 will be refunded minus shipping costs.
  • Cross-Ship Option: The customer may ship the defective product(s) to Ricoma. Once trackable shipping updates show the defective product(s) in transit, Ricoma will ship replacement product(s).
  • Products must be returned using proper packaging with the RMA number clearly indicated on the box. Products must be shipped to Ricoma within 20 business days of the RMA number being issued. Failure to do so will result in charges for the replacement materials, forfeiture of the $200 deposit, and the warranty being placed on hold.
  • If Ricoma determines the issue is not covered under warranty, Ricoma will notify the customer and provide available alternatives on a per-charge basis.
  • Parts used in warranty repairs may be new or refurbished. Refurbished parts will perform like new. Replacement parts are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period. Parts replaced under warranty become Ricoma’s property. If a full replacement of the machine is necessary, Ricoma may choose to provide a new or refurbished like-for-like production machine, covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
