We at Ricoma (Ricoma International Corporation, Inc., Ricoma (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and our affiliates) are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to both our Websites (www.ricoma.com, www.ricoma.cn, www.ricoma.us, engage.ricoma.us, and info.ricoma.us) and our voluntary tradeshow inquiries obtained from direct contact with our reps via voluntary badge scan.

This Privacy Policy governs our data collection, processing and usage practices. It also describes your choices regarding use, access and correction of your personal information. If you do not agree with the data practices described in this Privacy Policy, you should not use the Websites or voluntarily provide your badge scan at tradeshows.

When You Visit our Websites

You are free to explore the Websites without providing any Personal Information about yourself. When you visit the Websites, we request that you provide Personal Information about yourself, and we collect Navigational Information.

'Personal Information' collected via online forms, trade shows, and phone calls

This refers to any information that you voluntarily submit to us and that identifies you personally, including contact information, such as your name, e-mail address, company name, address, phone number, and other information about yourself or your business. Payment information is collected through “Stripe”, which processes payment information from you including credit cards numbers, using third party PCI-compliant service providers. This information is only collected when you enter your credit card information voluntarily to make a purchase online. Except for this, we do not collect Sensitive Information from you online.

Log Files

When you use our services our view content provided by us, we automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include your IP address, browser type, domain names, internet service provider (ISP), the files viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, clickstream data, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used by Ricoma to provide general statistics regarding use of the Ricoma Website. For these purposes, we do link this automatically-collected data to Personal Information such as name, email address, address, and phone number.

Information About Children

The Websites are not intended for or targeted at children under 16, and we do not knowingly or intentionally collect information about children under 16. If you believe that we have collected information about a child under 16, please contact us at info@ricoma.us, so that we may delete the information.

We use the information we collect only in compliance with this Privacy Policy. Customers who subscribe to our Subscription Services are obligated through our agreements with them to comply with this Privacy Policy.

We Never Sell Personal Information

We will never sell your Personal Information to any third party.

In addition to the uses identified elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, we may use your Personal Information to:

  • Improve your browsing experience by personalizing the Websites
  • Send information or Ricoma content to you which we think may be of interest to you by post, email, or other means and send you marketing communications relating to our business;

We may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, we do not transfer your Personal Information to the third party.

Use of Personal Information (Performance of a Contract or Existing Customers)

In addition to the uses above, Customers and “Opportunities” (Persons who apply to qualify for financing), will receive additional communication via fax and/or one-to-one emails from direct sale associates, customer service representatives, trainers and logistics coordinators in order to:

  • Process paperwork for financing or billing purposes or perform a contract
  • Handle shipping requests
  • Complete voluntary onboarding
  • Complete voluntary training
  • Assist with machine maintenance and or technical issues
  • Directly visit customer location at the request of the customer
  • Promote related products
  • Communicate customer-related incentives such as loyalty programs and offers

Customer data such as First name, Last name, Email and Phone Number for customers who purchased embroidery machines from Ricoma headquarters in the United States, will be transferred to our partner, Madeira USA if said customer also purchased or obtained a starter kit (with supplies provided by Madeira USA) from Ricoma US. Madeira USA is required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

If you are a visitor/customer located in the European Economic Area ('EEA'), our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described above will depend on the personal information concerned and the specific context in which we collect it. We post customer testimonials and comments on our Websites, which may contain Personal Information.

Video Testimonials

We obtain each customer's consent via paper form prior to filming the testimonial. Prior to filming, customers are required to give consent via a paper form with their printed name and signature. This form gives Ricoma consent to film them and use the footage and or photographs of themselves, their business and their employees on our Websites, social media accounts, publications, printed promotional materials, educational materials, email marketing and derivative works or for any similar purpose without further consent.

Comments & Reviews

Comments and reviews by our followers or fans made via our social media accounts including Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook Business Page and related groups including “Ricoma Connect” and “Embroidery & Custom Apparel Mastery, Google Reviews and Instagram are used for marketing purposes on our Websites and are promoted via email communications. At any time if you contact us directly at info@ricoma.us and request that your comment or review be removed, Ricoma will remove it accordingly and will not use it again for any marketing purpose.

Use of Credit Card Information

If you give us credit card information, we use it solely to check your financial qualifications and collect payment from you. We use a third-party service provider to manage credit card processing. This service provider is not permitted to store, retain, or use information you provide except for the sole purpose of credit card processing on our behalf.

Security of your Personal Information

We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We secure the Personal Information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Retention of Personal Information

How long we keep information we collect about you depends on the type of information, as described in further detail below. Ricoma Partners

Such third parties are prohibited from using your Personal Information except for these purposes, except in the case of a customer obtaining a starter kit from Ricoma US containing supplies provided by Madeira USA. All partners are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information. We partner with trusted third parties to provide you with co-marketing content that we think may be relevant to you. Ricoma US & Madeira USA

Ricoma US maintains an exclusive partnership with Madeira USA for their embroidery supplies in the form of a starter kit. When said starter kit is obtained by a customer of Ricoma with the purchase of an embroidery machine, information like First name, Last name, Email and Phone number will be transferred to Madeira USA. Madeira USA is required to maintain the confidentiality of your information. If you feel at any time that Madeira USA is abusing your information, contact us immediately at info@ricoma.us.

Corporate Events

If we (or our assets) are acquired by another company, whether by merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or otherwise, that company would receive all information gathered by our current Email Service Provider on the Websites. In this event, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website, of any change in ownership, uses of your Personal Information, and choices you may have regarding your Personal Information.

Compelled Disclosure

We reserve the right to use or disclose your Personal Information if required by law or if we reasonably believe that use or disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or comply with a law, court order, or legal process.

International Transfers within Ricoma’s Entities

To facilitate our global operations, we transfer information to China and allow access to that information from our teammates in China for the purposes described in this policy.
